However, some people may be concerned about the shine of a newly purchased wig, even though it is smooth.

Use a powder antiperspirant spray

The powder type antiperspirant spray is the one most people use. You can achieve a matte finish by using an antiperspirant spray. Spray especially on areas where you are concerned about shine. Spray it all over, then brush it out. Brush off the white parts with a brush. It is more effective when used in combination with wax.

Using a small amount of matte wax can not only remove shine but also set your hair at the same time. Take a small amount of hard wax in your palm and rub it all over the wig with your fingers. This will complete the matte effect and hair set.

Soak in fabric softener

You can also use fabric softener to make your wig matte. Mix water and fabric softener in a sink and soak the wig in it. After about 30 minutes to an hour, remove and rinse. However, be careful of tangles. Wrap the wig in a towel to remove moisture and let it dry indoors. Once it's completely dry, brush it to shape it and you're done.
